– Landscape orientated mapThis is one of the most beautiful nineteenth century plans or maps of Manhattan Island, and is full of interesting information and details, It is perhaps the last example of really artistic map-making, as applied to Manhattan Island. Original of this map was officially published in 1836, this canvas map version is from 1955, it was bought in Germany (in Berlin antiquarian shop – flea market) years ago.
Unique hand forged, heavy pull down frame – made of old steel hull of an old war ship! Rusty with fine furnish. Frame presents fantastic outline of the imaginary city, including streets, buildings and more. It really gives a majestic 3-D feeling of the city.
